Graham Short, FCPA, BBus (Acctg)

Managing Partner

Graham is a leading business executive with over 50+ years’ experience to CEO, Executive and Board levels in various Industry sectors and Government Departments.

He has been directly involved with risk management and workplace health and safety for over 35 years in several senior executive roles, including working over 17 years in the WA mining industry, and representing the resources sector on the WA peak advisory body to the Government on Occupational Health and Safety for several years.

He has also been a member and Chair of numerous other high-level Boards, Committees, Reference and Working Groups, Technical Committees on Aboriginal Affairs, Native Title, Corporate Regulation and Tax, Royalties, Environment, Water, Safety and Vocational Training, Mining Legislation, Streamlined Approvals / Red Tape, Mining Rehabilition Fund, Sustainability, Resource Management etc.

Strong working relationships with Government Ministers, regulatory agencies and politicians and has appeared before several Policy related Parliamentary Inquiries and Committees in various jurisdictions.

Graham has drafted and delivered / presented thousands of submissions, reports, media releases, presentations and conducted hundreds of media interviews.

He has a well-known strong work ethic and exceptional business reputation who can be relied upon to provide independent, confidential, professional, experienced and cost-efficient services.

He has a ‘can-do’ attitude, and can tackle any Project that he turns his mind to – just ask! If he is unable to do it – he can call upon a wide network of contacts to assist.

Graham has a Business Degree, is a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA), and is a Registered Lobbyist.

Graham is also a consultant to national commercial law firm Piper Alderman (and previously with Allion Partners) and has undertaken a number of safety related assignments with them under Legal Professional Privilege.

His broad role with Piper Alderman has included strategy, work health and safety, workplace investigations, Board and Executive Leadership Team briefings, corporate governance.

Chris Gamble, Risk Management and Compliance Specialist / Lead Auditor

Chris is a risk management specialist and has valuable regulatory expertise and knowledge as an ex-State Government Regulator as a DEMIRS Team Leader, and Special Inspector of Mines for over 6 years.

Chris has over 30 years operational, leadership and safety consulting experience through the whole mine cycle having worked at the majority of mines sites in WA in some capacity, and in the major commodity sectors (including iron ore, gold, copper and nickel). This has included mineral exploration drilling and mining operations in remote greenfield and brownfield sites.

He has had experience in developing and work shopping Corporate Risk Assessments for companies on international projects in extremely high-risk areas, such as Africa.

He is highly experienced and ‘hands on’ in all facets of the high-risk industry.

Chris has experience including, but not limited to compliance, ISO certification, integrated safety management systems, policy and procedure development, high level auditing, workplace inspection, investigation, hazard identification, fatal risk and critical controls.

Chris has significant Government regulator and WHS operational experience as well as leading a large multi-disciplinary inspectorate team covering most major Tier 1 mining operations in WA.

Chris has provided extensive in-house risk management and compliance services to large WA based mineral exploration drilling companies.

His industry and regulatory risk management skills and experience are highly transferable between industry sectors.

Appointed as an Expert Witness by the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety/WorkSafe.

He has delivered presentations to various forums at all levels to enhance training, engagement and deliver practical solutions to often complex safety issues.

Tertiary qualifications with a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, a Diploma in Government Workplace Inspection, Training and Assessment Certificate IV, Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) Investigation, Global Minerals Industry Risk Management G3 (GMIRM), and numerous other in-house and external courses, including the Exemplar Global (previously RABQSA) Certified Auditors Course – in Auditing Management Systems, OHS Management System Auditing and Leading Management Systems Audit Teams.
